01 Sep Building resilience in the West Bank
In 2011, Christian Aid embarked on a new resilience programme in our humanitarian work to test new development approaches in complex contexts affected by conflict or violence. The programme was possible thanks to the DFID CHASE Programme Partnership Arrangement. Seen through the eyes of one woman, this video documents the changes that have occurred in her community in the West Bank following the introduction of Participatory Vulnerability & Capacity Assessments (PVCAs). PVCA is a tool that communities can use to analyse the risks they face and make action plans both to manage the risks and make the most of opportunities available to them so that they can improve their lives and livelihoods and live with dignity.
